Wi-Fi

Roaming, timed

The roaming test pings your router ten times a second while you walk, so it sees how long each move from one access point to the next really takes, and whether the connection dropped.

Your network

• LAN discovery: devices on your network with names, makers and what they run. Pro can alert you to new devices.
• Internet checkup and speed test: router, DNS, internet, NAT, IPv6 and clock in one pass; download, upload and latency under load.
• Ping, port scan, DNS, traceroute, HTTPS check, Wake-on-LAN and a check of the ports your router opened to the internet.
• Host watch: checks hosts on a schedule and tells you when one goes down.
• Bandwidth test Pro: throughput to another phone, an iperf3 server or a MikroTik router.

Coverage on a map

The coverage log Pro records Wi-Fi and cellular signal along a walk or drive, also with the screen off. See the track over OpenStreetMap, save it as a PDF report with a map per layer, or open it in Google Earth.

Cellular and GPS

• Cellular: serving cell, base station, bands, carrier aggregation and signal. Pro adds a cell watch that flags suspicious cells.
• GPS: satellites, signal and sky plot, position, and how far your clock is off.
